Home is Where Your Heart Is ♥
For many people, Antigonish is more than a destination, it is home, regardless of where life may have taken them.
Donors Gene Fraser and Sheri Betker can relate. Gene, who spent his early years in the community before relocating to Winnipeg to pursue a career in Agriculture, continues to return to Antigonish every summer and fall with Sheri. While their permanent address may now be elsewhere, their connection to the community remains as strong as ever.
For Gene and Sheri, supporting the St Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation is a meaningful way to give back to the community where they spend their summer and fall. “We have deep roots in the Antigonish area with family and friends living here , so we felt it was important to give back to our summer home community and the hospital.”
Access to quality healthcare is vital not only for permanent residents but also for the many individuals and families who return seasonally to enjoy everything the region has to offer. Whether it's emergency care, diagnostic services, specialized equipment, or community-based programs, the hospital serves everyone who calls Antigonish home whether is it full-time or part-time!
Gene and Sheri, encourage others who make Antigonish area home in the summer to support the St Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation. “Your contribution is important to health care programs and the community”
By giving back, seasonal residents and former community members can play an important role in strengthening healthcare, enhancing patient care, and helping our communities remain vibrant and healthy for years to come.
Through their generosity, Gene and Sheri are helping to ensure that high-quality healthcare remains available close to home. Their story is a reminder that no matter where life takes us, the places that have shaped us, and the people who continue to call them home, remain worthy of our support.
